Scissortail, a premier gated community in Bentonville Arkansas, is on track to be fully built out by early 2024, according to Julie Vaught, a partner developer for the community. The community will feature a total of 274 lots, with 217 already completed and the remaining currently under construction. One lot remains owned by the developer, while the rest have been purchased by an exclusive list of builders. “At Scissortail, we believe in the motto ‘Dream it, Build it, Live it’,” said Julie Vaught.
Inside Scissortail you will find a clubhouse that can be reserved by residents, free of charge, with hours of operation from 4:00 am to 11:30 pm. The community offers two resort-style pools dedicated to adults and families. The community also offers an expansive playground, a fire-pit, and a sports court that can be used for basketball, pickleball, and volleyball.
With the recent expansion of West Pleasant Grove Road, Scissortail is just a four-mile drive to upscale shopping, the Walmart Amp, Top Golf, and many restaurants. Access to the Razorback Greenway and Wolf Park Mountain Bike Trail is just three miles from the community. Morning Star Elementary school is directly across the street so walking and riding your bike to school is a community favorite. Mobius, an after-school, and summer experiences school is located nearby. Scissortail POA fees total $1,440 annually and include all amenities at no additional charges.
DebSue Aldinger, the community liaison and resident of Scissortail, emphasized the community’s dedication to supporting local causes. Aldinger shared this is exemplified through an annual charity bake held at the Clubhouse in conjunction with the neighborhood-wide community sale.
A Scissortail resident of 3 years, Hugh Jackson, shared his positive experience. “It was the amenities and sense of community that attracted our family to Scissortail,” said Jackson.
