Crystal Bridges

Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art has announced a significant expansion, increasing its current facilities by 50%. The nearly 100,000-square-foot addition will enhance the existing 200,000-square-foot museum, allowing for a broader showcase of its growing collection and creating an even more inclusive environment for visitors to experience the power of art. This expansion aligns with Crystal Bridges’ dedication to free access to art for all, providing increased capacity for art exhibitions, educational and outreach initiatives, cultural programming, and community events. The project is set to be completed in 2026, solidifying Crystal Bridges' role as a cultural cornerstone in Bentonville.

Civic Plaza

Fayetteville, Arkansas, is bustling with downtown construction projects, highlighted by the development of the West Avenue Civic Plaza, soon to be renamed "The Ramble." This pivotal addition to the Cultural Arts Corridor will seamlessly link Fayetteville's cultural and natural attractions with the downtown and entertainment districts, creating a vibrant, experiential space.

The Ramble will feature a green event space, public plaza, garden areas, and a civic promenade. Strategically located between Fayetteville's downtown square and the University of Arkansas campus, next to the Razorback Regional Greenway, The Ramble is envisioned as a dynamic hub of activity.

Set for completion by March 2024, this development promises to enhance the area's appeal and provide a beautiful venue for community events and gatherings, making it a welcoming space for residents and visitors alike.

State documents indicate that no additional entrance or exit ramps will be added, but overpasses will be constructed at Wager Drive, Haden Road, and Holmes Road. Expected to be completed by late 2027, this project will significantly improve traffic flow and provide safe, modern roadways for the rapidly growing Northwest Arkansas region.

The Performance Pavilion, with its dynamic and sculptural form, fronts the great lawn, accommodating up to 3,000 people for large performances. It also features a smaller lawn for intimate events like movie nights for 50-100 attendees.
